So, had a couple of great nights in Jan/Feb on consecutive Saturdays at Fabric in London (first time there) where Deniz Kurtel was playing, then at Motion where, fantastic night that it was, the Tunnel was too crowded to hang about and watch Joy Orbison, and Maya Jane Coles, as she had done at Glastonbury, played a hard, four-to-the-floor set which completely failed to capture any of the sound of her recorded output and so really disappointed me.
Anyway might go to a couple of things in March / April / May. There are some great nights coming up in Bristol but a lot of them are on weekends I’m not free. Very gutted I’ll have to miss Ellen Allien at the Lakota for instance… The big one is Glade in mid-June though. It’s going to be amazing.
Just finished reading Jay Stevens book ‘Storming Heaven’ about the history of LSD in the States. I’m now reading the UK version, Albion Dreaming. Fascinating stuff…!
Get Your Smoking Jacket On
Posted another mix onto Mixcloud on Saturday night. This one was a listen through some slower and ballad-y type material, so not the killer house mix quite yet…!

Hope you like it! It took some twists and turns that I wan’t really expecting when I started it…
Review
In my persona as FeNN I got a review in Bristol and Bath’s Venue magazine this month for my album ‘Faces and Places’ (available everywhere folks – see www.fenn.it for details). The review makes a lot of positive noises but then tails off. My advice is to buy it – you can download the whole thing for only £3.99 on Amazon

New world
Welcome to my brand new website!
I hope you like it. I’ve gone down the WordPress route and now changed both this and the Fenn site, and I think they both look a lot better.
So, interact with me if you dare..!
